The Push install Pane

This pane is used to perform remote installations of the TrustPort Management client on stations in the network. Before performing the actual installation, a station must first be located and selected. Locating stations can be done in the following ways:

Warning The given IP address mask is applied to the given IP address, but searching is performed from the given IP address onwards.

Examples:
IP addresses range: 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.254 (searches for computers with IP addresses from 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.254),
Network mask: 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 (searches for computers with IP addresses from 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.254),
Network mask: 192.168.1.100/255.255.255.0 (searches for computers with IP addresses from 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.254)
.

Checking the Check this box to display which stations already have TrustPort Management installed option checks for the presence of TrustPort Management on the station(s). By doing so, stations with TrustPort Management Server or Client will be differentiated in the list of stations. Warning! Searching with this feature activated can take longer to complete.

Click the Search button to search the network for the indicated stations. This will display an indicator that the search is being performed along with a list of stations found. Click the Stop button to stop the search at any time.

To the left of the name of each station found is a check box. Use this check box to select stations one-by-one or use the first button in the table header above Select to select all stations at once. By default, all stations on which TrustPort Management was not found are automatically selected. If TrustPort Management client is found on the station then icon of the station is added with red dot. If TrustPort Management server is found on the station then it isn't possible to install client into such station. Warning! If the detected station was not tested for the presence of TrustPort Management Client, then this information may not be accurate.

Click the Install button to display a window used to enter the account for remote installation information. This should be a domain or local account available to all the selected computers. If the domain name field is not filled in, then a local account will be used. This account must have administrator rights and apply to all the computers in the group, as it will be used to perform the client installation on these stations. If using a domain account you must fill in all fields, whereas when using a local account leave the User domain field empty. The given account values are stored and on clicking the confirmation button the actual install process is initiated (if performing additional installations these fields will be automatically filled in). If the cancellation button is clicked, this window is closed and the user is returned to the list of stations found.

The progress on the selected stations is indicated during the course of the installation. It is possible to cancel an installation in progress by clicking the Stop button. When installation has completed, the results will be displayed, such as whether the installation was successful or whether any errors occurred. On completion, next to the Install button the Select only stations with denied access button is displayed. Click this button to select all stations from the stations list where the the TrustPort Management client installation has failed because of denied access. The others stations in these list remain unselected.

For a remote installation, the TCP communication between the server and a station on ports 9675 and 135 must be allowed. If an administrator require then the port 135 can be closed after successful installation. The port 9675 must remain opened or otherwise a client wouldn't be able to comunicate with the server.

Here you can find a procedure how to install the TrustPort Management client on a specific station.

The other way of the TrustPort Management client instalation is deploying with GPO (Group Policy object), ie. standard feature of Active Directory.
