The Accounts Tabs in the Management Pane
Setting local accounts is necessary only if for the given station the general settings stored in the main Settings->Accounts menu are not appropriate.
While using accounts settings specific for the station, it is not necessary to define both accounts.
Setting parameters:
-
Use specific user account settings defined below
... If it's not allowed, then the settings stored in the main Settings->Accounts menu will be used without taking respect to account details given on this page.
-
Network Access account
... Authorization required when accessing the network from the station, it is used for example during downloading of updates. If at least a name of the user is not filled in, the data from the main Settings->Accounts menu will be used for this account.
-
Program Execution Rights account
... Authorization required for enabling the program on the computer, therefore it should relate to an account from an administrator group. If at least a name of the user is not filled in, the data from the main Settings->Accounts menu will be used for this account.
Clicking the button Show Advanced enables access to fields of the Program Execution Rights account that are hidden by default.
For both accounts it is possible to use a domain or local account which is accessible on the selected station e.g. localnet/jdoe.
The parameters are the same for both accounts; they differ only by the type of user with the following meaning:
-
Username
... Name of the user (login name). In the above example it is jdoe.
-
User domain
... Domain where the station is included to the group. In the above example it is localnet. If the station is not included in the domain, this field must remain empty!
-
User password and Confirm user password
... The password corresponding to the given user account. The password must be entered twice to avoid mistyping.
Entered details must be saved with the help of the Save button, otherwise changes will not be stored when you will leave this tab.
